The Jizera Mountains are an extension of the Sudetes and the Karkonosze Range and are located in the Polish-Czech-German border area. Its peaks are up to 1,100 meters high and it is lovely to walk through the dense beech forests. The most famous health resort in the Jizera Mountains is Świeradów Zdrój, whose mineral springs were discovered in the year 1572. The healing microclimate and the local mineral springs as well as the moor fields have made the place known far beyond the country’s borders.
